OneStep RT-PCR Kit From Qiagen
The QIAGEN OneStep RT-PCR Kit allows reverse transcription and PCR amplification to be performed sequentially in a single tube, referred to as a “one-step” reaction. The QIAGEN OneStep RT-PCR Enzyme Mix contains Omniscript and Sensiscript Reverse Transcriptases, designed to perform reverse transcriptions of RNA amounts from 1 pg to 2 ìg; the mix also contains HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase for performing PCR. To ensure the temporal separation of both processes, the reaction is incubated for 15 min at 95°C after the reverse transcription reaction; incubation at this temperature inactivates Omniscript and Sensiscript Reverse Transcriptases while it activates HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase. read more...

For some downstream assays, such as ligation and transformation, restriction enzyme digestion, in vitro transcription, hybridization and radioactive and fluorescent sequencing, a researcher has to clean up PCR products from the amplification mixture. DNA Ligation Kit, Version 1 From Takara
How did I get to know the DNA Ligation Kit from Takara? Around 2 years ago, I was trying to do a cloning and I was stuck at the ligation step. At first, I was using the regular T4 DNA ligase and attempted to perform ligation several times with this enzyme, but couldn’t get any clones after transformation. I discussed this with the post-doc in the lab. He then suggested that I try the Takara kit. Amazingly, I got positive colonies with the first reaction.
